i'm sorry but i'm really offended by your emphasis on Ayrton Senna in this opener. Roland Ratzenburger also died that weekend, and although he was not the superstar that Senna was, he was still a human life lost.
other drivers have died at the other races we do.
so unless you are going to do similar tributes to Ronnie Peterson or Riccardo Paletti for Monza and Montreal etc etc then please make this thread more neutral

Thanks, Tony, you said it all - I have NOTHING left to add.
Only that I DIDN'T forget Ratzenberger - I NEVER forgot that, of course!!!
I just put Senna pictures there, because of the reasons you said above and also because he IS THE GREATEST DRIVER OF ALL TIME - it's a FACT and I'm sorry if someones disagrees...

Still I WILL edit the topic myself and I will ONLY replace the picture.
Senna got the pole in 94, so I'm gonna leave the video - PLEASE, RESPECT at least this!

Topic edited.

And I DON'T have to be neutral. I'm OBVIOUSLY sorry for Ratzenberger and for ALL the drivers who died in races/tracks since the very begining of the races, but I'm BRAZILIAN and senna is MY HERO.

I miss you, Beco! Crying or Very sad

yeah you're brazilian and senna is you hero, he is also one of my racing heroes, i have a picture of him on my wall. but you have to put these things aside because this thread is purely to register drivers for the race and so it should be neutral.

I don't agree, but whatever... this is not a professional league. We don't need to be so 'formal' about things like this one - it's just a topic from which I'm the responsible, so I don't see ANY harm in doing that and people actualy liked it - only YOU told me to replace it, but I won't argue anymore. It´s done as you asked.

we're not a professional league but we should keep a level of professionalism.
the more professional things around the league are the more professional the driving will become.
if you want to discuss about Ayrton Senna and the significance to that race obviously i don't have a problem with that and i am happy to talk about that but let's do it on another thread somewhere, not in this thread which should just be a functional thread.

Tom... I just put a PICTURE of him along with the track map, ffs!...
¬¬'

I honestly think your request was a little bit exaggerated, but... I removed it.
I'm not hapy about it, but... it's done.

yes but for me it was a bit dismissive of Ratzenberger

As I said before, it's OBVIOUS that I'm sorry for him too. But I am brazilian and Senna is a hero not just for me, but also to my country and he was the greatest driver of all time, so it's normal that when people reffer to Imola 1994, they always say 'oh, the track/year where Senna died, right?!' - that DOESN'T mean people don't give a shit about Roland's death.

it's seemingly impossible for you to be objective about this so i'm leaving this

No. I got what you meant and I did what you wanted.
Can I at least keep disagreeing with you?
