1 JAPANESE GRAND PRIX - PENALTIES on 7th May 2012, 10:41 pm


some rusty driving from everyone at times, but generally a trouble free race after the first lap. remember not to cross the pit exit line when leaving the pits (see the rule book)

penalties decided by the 3 stewards:

ADI - WARNING - erratic driving on lap 1 in the esses - RACING CODE - "4.3 At no time may a car be driven unnecessarily slowly, erratically or in a manner which could be deemed potentially dangerous to other drivers or any other person. This will apply whether any such car is being driven on the track, the pit entry or the pit lane."

KURTMUDGEON - WARNING - lap 20, esses - kurtmudgeon unsafely rejoins the track causing T McKay to slow and swerve to avoid '5.29 Rejoining the track unsafely causing another driver to stop, slow or swerve - WARNING' - DRIVE THROUGH - crossing pit exit line - lap 20

JEAN SIGOUIN - STOP AND GO - lap 21, turn 8 - Jean causes collision with driver lap ahead (T McKay) - '5.34 Ignoring blue flags and causing a collision with driver on a different lap - STOP AND GO'

PXR5 - DRIVE THROUGH - crossing pit exit line - lap 2

JACKBLACK - DRIVE THROUGH - crossing pit exit line - lap 14, 15, 20

penalty points after Round 1 of 17 (remember - one penalty point maximum per race. after 3 points - start next race from back. after 6 - start next race from pits. after 9 - one race ban. after 12 - 3 race ban:

Tom, did these penalties alter any of the previous finishing positions?
I need to know that in order to put/add that info to the race report...
