I'm NOT reporting the incident below.
It's just a 'heads up' to avoid dangerous/bad situations in the future..

Logan, your defense on lap 4 (2nd sector, before the 1st fast chicane) was ilegal.

As our rules say (which is also a real life car racing/motorsport rule), from the 2nd defensive move on, the defending driver MUST leave at least a 1-car-width space between his own car and the edge of the track, for the attacking driver.

Your 1st defensive move (to the right) was ok (although a bit harsh - but still legal).
But your 2nd move, going from the extreme right, to the extreme left, leaving me LESS than 1-car-width space, was not.

I understand that you were trying to get a better line for the fast chicane, but still you should've left that 1-car-width space - not to mention it was your choice to make the first defensive move, going to the extreme right (making a bit harder for yourself to get a proper line for the chicane ahead).

Also, it could've caused a silly (but big) crash, with contact between us, especially at a very high speed..

So, please, Logan and everyone, be careful and defend clean & fair (according to the rules).

Here's my own replay, so people can see exactly what I saw on my screen:

After looking at the replays i can say, in my honest opinion, that i didnt do anything wrong sexy. Sure the first move was aggressive, but it was aggressive enough for you to back out, which was what you did; this was my first move. After that one i was turning slightly to the left to have the better line for the chicane. Notice that there is still enough space left for your car to put the front wing. While i was racing i held that position thinking that you wouldn't go around the outside because you wouldn't have enough grip with the hard tires.

In case there would have been a contact and a crash i believe it would be your fault more than mine, because you'd be trying to go for a gap that was closing and closing, but you chose the smart way to go.

In the end, i'd like to thank you for this and every other battle we've had together. You've been by far the most respective driver during a battle and i have tried to be the same.

I thank you for your words, but still I must insist that's not a legit/fair move on your part.

I mean, the 2nd move - and it's all on the rules.

I didn't back out after you shut the door on me (your 1st move).
I simply switched lines to try and pass you on the other side (since you closed the door on the right - then I tried to pass on the left) - I was still gaining on you in terms of speed and closing the gap, for I had a better top speed and better acceleration after the hairpin - so I was still on a valid/legit attacking move, with part of my car alongside with yours - which 'forces' you to leave me space already (also according to the rules) - we were 'officially' partially alongside at that point (with parts of our cars - even if only a very small portion - already side by side) and from that point on, if any of us switch lines (without leaving space), we would cause a contact with each other - and the person to blame for that contact and a possible incident, would obviously be the one who switched lines, to try to block a clear, legit and fair overtaking move from an attacking car.

The point is:
I really think some people get easily confused with what's a legit defensive move and what's just a nasty door closing on someone else's face, which can easily lead to a contact and an accident.

One thing is being aggressive (doing stuff allowed by the rules).
Another thing is being unfair (doing stuff NOT allowed by the rules).

People seem to have a hard time finding a way to be aggressive AND fair at the same time.

Even in real life, with guys like Verstappen and Vettel, for example, doing a bunch of crazy shit and people praising them for that - no doubt they're very good drivers and can pull up some amazing (and fair) moves, but they also do a LOT of unfair stuff and FIA is also totally incosistent when it comes about penalties, which also contributes for getting people confused on what's ok and what's not..

Anyways..
My 'complain' was actually pretty simple - and as I said before, it's all on the rule book:
From the 2nd move on, the defending driver MUST leave a 1-car-width space to the attacking car - which you didn't do and we almost had a silly, but terrible accident where at least one of us (but probably both) could've had their races done, right there..

To me is not hard to be aggressive and fair at the same time - and being fair is always more important.
It's a shame not everyone thinks and acts the same (not talking about you, or anyone specific. I'm literally talking about everyone) - that should be just natural..

I just want people to be more careful and avoid this kind of dangerous situation - that's all.
No harm done (this time), so it's all good.
As I said, it was just a heads up and not actually an incident report or anything.
Smile
