1 SRD S3 - Official Penalties - 07 - Le Mans on 26th June 2016, 2:36 am

RACE 1:

- Lap 1, Backstraight Chicane #2: Sajdi & Sexy (contact)
RI/NA (Race Incident/No Action) - Sajdi lost control of his car and couldn't avoid the contact with Sexy.

- Lap 3, Braking for T4: Juan & Javier (contact)
10 secs penalty to Juan (10 secs added to his total race time) - Normally, this would be a DT (Drive Through = 15 segs), but Juan waited and gave the place back - also the incident was caused due to graphical lags and not for irresponsible or unfair driving.
But since Juan did not finish the race and according to the SRD S3 Rules & Regulations (Penalty System section), these 10 secs penalty will be converted to a 5 Places Grid Drop to Juan, on Race 1 at Monza (or the next SRD Official Event he joins).

RACE 2:

- Lap 1, Dunlop Chicane: Matsu & Jakub (contact)
DT to Matsu (15 secs added to his total race time) - Matsu braked a bit too late, when having other cars in front fighting for position (should brake earlier, to avoid a possible collision).

- Lap 1, Backstraight Chicane #2: Sajdi & Sexy (contact)
5 secs penalty to Sajdi (5 secs added to his total race time) - Sajdi clearly loses the braking point (by braking too late) and pushes Sexy off of the track and ilegally gets the overtake/place - should've at least given the place back.

- Lap 1, Fast Right Hander on S3: Sajdi & ADI (bump)
RI/NA (Race Incident/No Action) - Due to the difference between the setups and driving styles, ADI carried a bit more speed through the corner, while Sajdi was forced to go slower to keep his car on track - unfortunately a small bump happened.

- Lap 3, Dunlop Chicane: Sajdi (cut)
3 secs penalty to Sajdi (3 secs added to his total race time) - Misses the braking point and gains time ilegally.

- Lap 3, S2: Sajdi & ADI (contact)
RI/NA (Race Incident/No Action) - Sajdi's own mistake (spinning) and ADI didn't have enough time to avoid a spun car.

- Lap 3/4, Pit Lane: ADI & Marco (crash)
RI/NA (Race Incident/No Action) - Both cars were on the slow lane. ADI was about to move to the fast lane (leaving his pits) and Marco was about to stop for his pit - sadly, both cars were caught in a situation none of them could avoid.*

- Lap 4, Dunlop Chicane: Sajdi (cut)
5 secs penalty to Sajdi (5 secs added to his total race time) - Misses the braking point and gains time ilegally - barely lifted the throttle (that's why a bit heavier penalty this time).

- Lap 4, Last Chicane: Sajdi (cut)
5 secs penalty to Sajdi (5 secs added to his total race time) - Exact same situation as the incident (cut) above.
...

* = If it was real life, ADI's team should've held him a bit more, to avoid an 'unsafe release' from his pit spot.
At the same time, it would be possible to see where marco pit spot was, so even after the release, ADI could've given Marco a bigger gap to avoid a crash as well.
Sadly, on rFactor we don't have any of these things... Our crew doesn't avoid 'unsafe releases' and we also can't see the other drivers' pit spots - so we never know exactly when and where they're gonna brake and stop in the pit lane...

Updated Results and Standings - all Official now.

GENERAL WARNING (and advice) TO ALL THE DRIVERS:

Please, make SURE to test your RACE set during the week.

It's ok to test your quali set and take hotlaps, of course.
But you ALSO MUST test your RACE set - so you can know exactly what is your fuel and tyre consumption for each track, plan a race strategy and, above all else, you can HAVE A GOOD CONTROL OF YOUR CAR ON RACE CONDITIONS - which is, OBVIOUSLY, different than how it 'handles' with the quali set.

Also...
Keep in mind that during the race, you will have other cars around you (and a different and HEAVIER car) and you MUST 'adapt' your driving to this new 'reality' - which is totally different than when you have a light quali set car and are all alone on track.

So, it is IMPERATIVE that you TEST YOUR RACE SET during the week (and not only 5 mins before each Official Event).

Avoid adding incidents to this list after each race - be smart, gentlemen!
