Here are the specific rules for Season 9 of the rFR Grand Prix Cup. The very detailed rFR rulebook with league acrossing rules and regulations will be released soon.

The following rules are the most important ones and knowing them will be enough for racing in this series. All new rules and changes are marked in PINK

Click on the following bar to show the rules.

Rules:

4 golden rules:
1. NO CHATTING (in qualifying or race).
2. NO CUTTING (ever).
3. NO CRASHING (ever).
4. MOVE FOR BLUE FLAGS (always).

Driving on the server is accepting these rules.

The LAT are the League Admin Team, and they run the league (like the FIA).

Drivers must be registered on the official forum to be allowed to race.

Technical settings/rules:

Drivers must save their qualifying and race replays (for LAT if required).
Drivers must set the following line in their PLR file as shown here: Save All Replay Sessions="1"

Drivers must use at least one virtual mirror in official race sessions.

Drivers should lower graphics levels to help reduce lag, but use at least low special FX settings in order to make the RFE plug in work correctly.

Points are awarded in qualifying for pole position and for p2.
Points are awarded in the race for top 15 positions and for fastest lap.

Driving rules:

1.1 Use track at all times. White lines are track but kerbs are not.
1.2 Must have 2 wheels on track at all times. The 2 wheels must be on the same side of the car (differing axels).
1.3 If you leave track, rejoin safely, and without advantage.
1.4 Leaving track and gaining advantage = cutting.
1.5 If you leave track because of accident - slow down and gain no advantage - rejoin safe and give back any gained places.
1.6 Make only 1 move to defend position. You can move back to racing line, but you must leave 1 car width.
1.7 Do not move directly in front of car after overtake.
1.8 Do not force other drivers off the track.
1.9 If you see blue flags, move over and let faster pass as soon as possible.

2.1 Overtaking should be without any contact.
2.2 Do not cause collision or force driver to avoid when overtaking him.
2.3 If you are being overtaken do not drive into the overtaking car.

3.1 Do not follow other cars into pit lane entrance, unless you also intend to pit.
3.5 Do not leave pit box into path of another car.
3.6 Do not cross white pit exit line or endanger cars already on circuit.

4.1 Do not drive in the wrong direction.
4.2 Escape from the circuit as soon as possible if you cannot continue.
4.3 Do not drive slowly in a dangerous manner.

There really isn't any chance of having restarts if more than half the field have critical damage before the 1st sector?

Only chance for a restart is that only 1 car is still running even if you had a big crash in most of the cases you can easily go back to the pits and wont have to retire

If i don't finish the race will i have points?

Change the relative fuel strategie to 1

View user profile http://www.rfactor-racers.com
That's only if during the practice sessions, when you do a pit stop, your fuel is not added.
It's an rFactor bug some people have.

But since in this season refueling is not allowed, that's not a necessary change, so don't worry.

And I think the requested change on the .PLR file is about the replays and not about the fuel.
That change is necessary for the game to save all replays and then the drivers can send their replays to the stewards if requested, due to an incident or something.

So.. you have the bug and you NEED to make the change Sven just mentioned.
Razz

There's a line "Relative Fuel Strategy".. your value is probably 0 (zero) and you should change it to 1 (one) - then save the file, obviously..
Very Happy

was that control f in the game or in the game folder? Because I have the same problem

View user profile
It's on your .PLR file (you can open it with notepad on Windows).

But you don't need to change anything, unless your fuel goes to 0 (zero) when you do a pit stop on practice sessions...

yeah that happens all the time

So.. on your .PLR file...

There's a line "Relative Fuel Strategy".. your value is probably 0 (zero) and you should change it to 1 (one) - then save the file, obviously..

It's inside your "...\UserData\[YOUR DRIVER NAME]" folder and as I said before, you can open that .PLR file with Windows Notepad and edit it - then SAVE it after you edit it, of course.

Tire choice is free if it is a wet race?

YOU MUST CONQUER THE WILD COUNTRY TO WIN THE RACE FOREVER!
View user profile http://blog-of-alaster.blogspot.com
Yes.

Same rule as in real life.

"According to regulations, both compounds, prime (harder) and option (softer) compounds must be used in a dry race, failing which a driver will be disqualified. If a race is suspended without both tyres being used, a 30-second penalty will be imposed.
This requirement is waived should drivers need to use wet weather tyres.
"

Meaning if you use any of the wet compounds, that rule doesn't apply.

So, it's not actually based on the rain...
But on the fact of putting INTERS or WETS on at any moment of the race.

Even if it rains and a driver decide to use only one of the 2 dry compounds (SUPERS or SOFTS), the rule still applies and they must use BOTH compounds on the Feature race.
